Trager Approach
Trager Approach is integrative somatic bodywork that works like a "reset" for body and mind. Intuitive and sensitive, Trager's touch and gentle, supportive movements affect whole body, lasting change. Trager facilitates the release of holding and tension habits that come from stress, pain, injury, trauma, or repetitive motion. Harmonic movement, like the rocking techniques used in a Trager session, is deeply relaxing, freeing your breath, calming your mind, and softening restrictions in your body. Flexibility and mobility emerge, replacing tensions that may have manifested as pain, stress, stiffness, or even illness. Reinforce your improvements with easy to learn movement practices taught during the session. No oils or lotions are used during a Trager® session. I suggest clients wear light, comfortable clothing that allows a full range of body movements.

”Every shimmer of tissue is sending a message to the unconscious mind in the form of a positive feeling experience. It is the accumulation of these positive patterns that can offset the negative patterns... Nothing can change until the old pattern is broken.”
-Milton Trager, M.D.

”Trager work is one of the least invasive forms of body work using gentle rocking and bouncing motions to induce states of deep, pleasant relaxation. It helps facilitate the nervous system's communication with the muscles, so that it can be used as a method of rehabilitation especially by people suffering from traumatic injuries, post-polio syndrome, and other chronic neuromuscular problems.”
-Andrew Weil M.D., Author of Spontaneous Healing, Director, Program in Integrative Medicine, University of Arizona, Tucson.

”Milton Trager's work will benefit anyone wishing to lead a healthier and more dynamic life.”
-Deepak Chopra, M.D.

"The advantage of Trager is that the athlete can stay more limber and loose, and thus freer of muscle damage."
- John Pearcy, President and Founder of the Greater Austin Track Club
"I am most enthusiastic about Mentastics. There is such a naturalness about the whole experience, a rhythm that reminds me of dancing. I am always left with a feeling of lightness and freedom of movement."
- Neal Sedaka, Performer/Composer
